A234 WP11 Material is a wrought pressure grade material that is used for various welding applications. The material can come in different forms such as fittings, flanges, pipes and others. ASTM A234 Grade WP11 is made from carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, chromium and molybdenum. This 1% chromium and molybdenum content provides the material with good strength and corrosion resistance. There are three classes in this material. Each of them has different mechanical properties due to the difference in the composition. The A234 WP11 Cl2 has all the ingredients with the maximum carbon limited to 0.2% and manganese to 0.8% where the class 1 material has carbon content limited to 0.15% and manganese to 0.6%. The grade 3 is the strongest of them all with 310MPa minimum yield strength and 690MPa minimum tensile strength.

The A234 WP11 Cl1 has 205MPa minimum yield strength and 585MPa minimum tensile strength where the class 2 possesses a medium 655MPa tensile strength and 275MPa yield strength.
