Wear resistant steels such as grade EN31 tend to have higher strength properties, which makes them durable for a wide range of applications. Although the strength of this material is high, it is possible to increase it by tempering the Alloy Steel EN31 Equivalent Material . In addition to increasing its wear resistance properties, many brittle alloys are tempered to get much tougher components. Between 150 - 300°C, which is the EN31 Tempering Temperature , the alloy is heat treated following which it is soaked through, after which the material is required to be quenched. Unlike some alloys that may be quenched in water, the use of oil is necessary to quench the  EN31 Round Bar. After quenching the material, cooling it increases the strength while also maintaining its form or shape. The cooling procedure for the Uns 535a99 Bar  is to be done by air at a slow rate.  The high content of carbon in the alloy is responsible for its hardness. Thus making the EN31 Alloy Steel Bar  suited to applications that demand durability and good performance in strenuous operations. And because the material is resistant to the effects of wear or abrasion, the EN 31 Round Bar  is a common site as a part of machine parts or equipment. In addition to being high carbon steel, the alloy includes elements such as nickel, chromium, and molybdenum in significant quantities, the inclusion of which has a positive effect on the EN31 Bright Bar .
