The Sch 40 Seamless Carbon Steel Pipe is made up of carbon steel and is seamless with less absolute roughness and has a schedule of 40. Large diameter steel pipes are components designed with diameters above 1000mm. These pipes are designed with good tolerances and are utilized in large-scale piping operations. They are a common feature to carry oil and gas over long distances. The larger diameter in these pipes allow them to carry more fluids and possess a bigger flow rate.

The versatile large diameter pipes showcase good corrosion resistance properties and enhanced adhesion properties that allow them to withstand different reducing environments. The simple but efficient grade helps in improving the efficiency of the flow by reducing the traffic in the system. They can supply the fluids without any pressure loss during delivery.

Large diameter pipes are generally designed in LSAW, SSAW, or seamless pipe configurations. For higher pressure applications the seamless steel grade is preferred as the welded grade shows some weak points at the welding joint. A welded pipe can result in leakage which may lead to lengthy repair time, or failure of the entire system.

ERW pipes are usually designed in sizes of a maximum of 16 inches diameters. LSAW and SSAW pipes are restricted to sizes from 20 inches to 100 inches. A seamless large diameter pipes diameter is not more than 16 or 20 inches. The pipes larger than this can only be manufactured by hot rolling and additional heat expanding process. This allows the pipe diameters to be expanded in a short time cutting costs resulting in becoming the modern method to manufacture seamless large diameter pipes.

The large diameter pipes produced in India, especially across all our outlets, are cheaper than those manufactured in other European counties and USA.
